Lab Packages: Three Benches, One Quotation
Three ready configurations for eyeglass shops, from a manual starter bench to an automatic lab and a retail counter.
Each package is a starting point. Swap any model, add spare parts, and we quote the configuration you settle on.
Starter Bench
For a shop starting in-house edging with manual equipment.
Hand edging for touch-ups and low volume, with drilling and grooving so you can finish rimless and semi-rimless frames. Measuring is manual.
Automatic Lab
For shops that edge every day and want scanner-driven edging.
Automatic edging with its own scanner, plus drilling, grooving and polishing for all three frame types, and an auto lensmeter for checking.
Retail Counter
For the dispensing counter: measuring, fitting and showing lenses.
No edging: everything a counter needs to measure, fit, clean and demonstrate lenses.

Pick a starting point
Choose the package closest to your shop. Tell us which frames you sell, how many jobs you finish a day, and your voltage.
Adjust it
Swap models, drop what you already own, and add tools, blocking pads and suction cups for your edger.
Receive one quotation
We quote the whole configuration with packing and shipping to your destination, and confirm voltage and plug types.
Planning the bench
Bench order
A finishing bench usually runs from lensmeter to blocker, then the edger with a work tray on each side, then the hand edger, groover and frame warmer. Keep blocks and pads in a drawer next to the blocker.
Space
About 10 linear feet (3 m) of counter holds a lensmeter, blocker, edger and hand edger. Trade guides suggest at least 6 × 6 ft of working area, and about 100 sq ft is comfortable.
Utilities
- A dedicated circuit for the edger; no extension cords.
- Water supply and drain for the edger, or a recirculating tank.
- Ventilation if you cut high-index lenses.
What to buy first
The core is lensmeter, blocker, edger and hand edger. Add a groover and a drill when semi-rimless and rimless work justifies them; the packages above follow that logic.
