Choosing and using a larger ultrasonic tank
How it works
Ultrasonic cleaners work by cavitation: a transducer vibrates the liquid, and tiny bubbles form and collapse against the item, lifting dirt from places a cloth cannot reach. About 40 kHz is the general-purpose band; lower frequencies clean harder, higher frequencies more gently.
Choose the tank by what you put in it. A 0.8 L tank takes one pair of glasses. A 2 L tank takes more than one pair, or a basket of screws, pads and tools from the repair bench.
The same care applies to any size: cold water with mild detergent, short cycles, and nothing that could be damaged by vibration, such as crazed coatings, natural materials like wood or horn, or glued and stone-set decorations.

Should I choose 0.8 L or 2.0 L?
The 0.8 L CP-008 suits a pair of glasses at the counter. The 2.0 L CP-120T takes several frames or bench tools at once. A 1.3 L CP-113T sits in between.
How often should I change the water?
Whenever it looks cloudy, and at least daily in regular use.
Can I clean tools in it?
Yes, small tools, screws and nose pads clean well. Dry them fully afterwards.
Should I use the heater?
For eyewear, keep water cold or lukewarm. Heat is the main risk to lens coatings and some frame materials.
